Screenprints
Below are a series of different screenprints I created, all being about 5-6 layers. The first is a chameleon and the next three are state flowers from states that hold meaning for me. The California Poppy for where I was born, the Columbine from Colorado where I was raised, and the Black-Eyed Susan for Maryland because I lived in Baltimore for 4 years for college. Learning screen printing taught me a lot about layering illustrations, how colors can mix and how blending effects can be created with separate layers. Although I will not be screenprinting much I apply this knowledge to my illustrations quite often.
